Durrington High School is a popular and oversubscribed school.  We operate our own in-year admissions process which includes the management of our own waiting lists.   The in-year admissions operates for all students (years 7-11) who wish to join the school at any point after the commencement of the school year.  Admissions at the stage of school transfer continue to be coordinated through West Sussex County Council.

The admissions authority of Durrington High School will use the information provided on the application form, submitted by applicants to determine if a referral needs to be put forward to the Fair Access Protocol. Criteria used to determine these referrals will all be considered on an individual basis using information found in appendix 1 of the new admissions policy. The admission request will be re-directed to WSCC for consideration through the appropriate panel process.
