Medication in school

Please note that parents / carers are responsible for keeping medicines up-to-date (prescribed and non-prescribed), by notifying the school of any changes, including opting out and renewal of out-of-date medication. This also includes the Parent / Carer consent for non-prescribed medication for Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and Antihistamine, supplied by the school). Please also be advised that it is the responsibility of the parent / carer to return this medication to the dispensing pharmacy. Vaccinations in Schools Programme 2019/20

There will be two vaccination programmes held in school during the academic year, as follows:

All Year 9 students will be offered the ‘Teenage Booster and Meningitis ACWY’ vaccination which will eliminate the need to have this in Year 10.  This will take place on Friday 20 March 2020.

Year 8 Girls and Boys (please see letter below) will be offered the HPV vaccination over two sessions, with the first taking place on Friday 1st  May 2020 and the second session in the following academic year (date to be arranged).  Further information will be sent to Parents and Carers nearer the time.

Year 9 Girls will be offered their second session of the HPV vaccination on Friday 1st May 2020. Further information will be sent to Parents and Carers nearer the time.
