Year 7 Science trip to Winchester Science Centre

Seventy of our Year 7 students recently enjoyed a fun and educational trip to the Winchester Science Centre, where they had the opportunity to explore the wonders of science through a range of interactive and immersive experiences.

The centre offers students the chance to engage with science in an exciting hands-on environment, featuring interactive exhibits, live science shows, and even a journey through space in the spectacular Planetarium.

During the visit, students took part in a Discovery Workshop and explored two floors of fascinating exhibits. Highlights included learning about the satellites orbiting Earth, investigating a biosphere and the types of life it could support, examining real space rocks, exploring the Google Earth station, and stepping inside the Sonic Rocket looping experience. These were just some of the many exciting activities on offer throughout the day.

The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their curiosity and enthusiasm for science beyond the classroom. All of the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a wonderful time, returning to school with plenty of new knowledge and exciting stories to share.
