Year 11 librarians

Last week we said a sad farewell to our year 11 librarians who have been fantastic in helping out in so many ways during their time at Durrington High. Mrs Dacosta, LRA Manager, organised a farewell gathering with the LRA student team, and the year 11s were rewarded with thank you gifts, and then had the opportunity to make their own leaving speeches, which were truly heart-warming.

Thank you to Matilda, Joe, Izzie and Charlie for all your help, you have been brilliant and will be missed. Remember … keep in touch!

What our year 11 librarians had to say:

“The library has been an amazing place. For someone who struggled throughout high school, it was my sanctuary and helped me find my people, for which I am grateful.”

“The library is one of the best places in the school, there are so many memories in this place.”

“I mainly just made friends and actually talked to people which I didn’t know I could do.”

“The library opened up avenues left and right both thanks to the people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve enjoyed. Thank you all.”
