Computing trip to Legoland

100 Year 8 students went to Legoland yesterday as part of a computing trip. The students all attended a Lego Spike workshop where they built, coded, and debugged their own robots using LEGOLAND’s very own SPIKE™ Prime robotics sets!

During the workshop some students managed to make their robots navigate across the LEGOLAND map, turning and making sounds. Other students experimented with the sensors to get them to automatically stop the robot.

The students all found creative solutions as they develop their problem-solving skills, this experience will enable the year 8  students to learn more about algorithms, sequences, and inputs & outputs.

Once the workshop was over each group then enjoyed the rest of the day in the park, although we had rain showers, the students managed to enjoy the rides without having to queue.
