Durrington High School is delighted to celebrate another year of excellent GCSE results, reflecting the hard work, determination and commitment of its students and staff.
Students collecting their results today should feel immensely proud of what they have achieved. Throughout their studies, this year group has demonstrated resilience, ambition and a determination to go beyond their best, and today’s outcomes are a fitting reward for their efforts.
The school is particularly pleased that students have secured the qualifications they need to progress successfully to the next stage of their education, whether that be sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment-based training.
These results continue Durrington High School’s strong track record of academic success. Once again, the school has exceeded national averages across all key whole-school performance measures, while the vast majority of subjects have achieved outcomes above national averages. This sustained level of performance reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to high standards, evidence-informed teaching and ensuring every student is supported to achieve their potential.

“We are incredibly proud of all our students and the success they have achieved this summer. Special congratulations go to Dylan Beadsley, who achieved Grade 9s in every GCSE subject. Particular recognition should also go to Reuben Bowdrey, Callum Jillett, Dawud Ahmad, Jess Mayo, Lydia Lawal, Ryan Young, Blossom Metcalf, Hazel Fraser and Nethini Gunasena, who achieved Grade 9s across almost all of their subjects. These exceptional outcomes reflect not only academic excellence but also the perseverance, resilience and hard work shown by these students throughout their journey at Durrington.”
