The English Department were delighted to host our annual KS3 English Celebration Evening, where we recognised and celebrated the exceptional writing talent of 19 students from Years 7–9. Students were selected for the outstanding quality of their writing, produced in English lessons, at our Creative Writing Club and independently at home.

Students attended with their families and were joined by staff who were treated to a wonderful variety of writing, including imaginative stories, thoughtful poems, persuasive and engaging speeches, reviews and letters, all read aloud by the students themselves.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our young authors to share their work with family, friends and staff, showcasing not only their creativity and skill but also the confidence to perform their writing aloud. Their work has been brought together in a special anthology, which is now proudly on display in the school library for others to enjoy. Every student demonstrated tremendous pride in their achievements, and we could not be prouder of everything they have accomplished. Congratulations to all of our talented writers. We look forward to seeing where their love of writing takes them next!
