The National Scientific Thinking Challenge is a UK-wide online assessment designed for Year 10 students and created by university academics. It tests analytical problem-solving and critical thinking through data interpretation. Students analyse data, graphs, and texts to make deductions, spot trends, and suggest hypotheses based on real-world scientific research.
This year 16,174 students took part from 255 schools, including over 100 from Durrington High School. Students are ranked nationally, Gold (top 10%), Silver (top 25%), and Bronze (top 40%).
We are delighted to announce that Durrington High School students Tilly, Natalia and Theodore achieved Gold Medals, with a further 12 Silver medals, and 22 Bronze medals awarded to our students!
Congratulations to all who took part, we are extremely proud of you.
