School timetable expectations and arrangements from 8th June 2026 onwards – update

Important update to previous letter sent Wednesday 3rd June 2026.

Dear Parents, Carers and Year 11 students,

Thank you for your continued support as students complete another week of exams. Further to my previous letter sent 3/6/26, we are slightly amending our expectations for students in regard to attending school for exams. We can now confirm that following the completion of the Maths paper 3 exam on the morning of Wednesday 8th June, students may choose to leave site in order to continue revising at home. Students opting to leave site following their Maths exam thus become the responsibility of their parents/carers.

This means going forward from next Wednesday morning, following the completion of the Maths exam, students will only be required to attend school for lessons linked to their remaining examinations, as well as for the remaining examinations themselves. As previously indicated, this also means students will no longer need to attend Period 1 unless they have a scheduled exam lesson. Students must leave the school site via the front entrance only, including between lessons.

Students may also continue to follow their school timetable throughout the exam period in order to revise with the support of their teachers. In such instances they must follow their usual school timetable where class teachers will register them at the beginning of each period.

All other details as set out in my previous letter, included below, remain unchanged.

School timetable expectations and arrangements for the remainder of the exam season

Firstly, we would like to express how incredibly proud we are of every Year 11 student. Throughout the examination period, they have demonstrated maturity, resilience, and determination, conducting themselves exceptionally well and serving as outstanding role models for younger students across the school.

As we approach the final stage of this examination season, we want to thank students for their hard work and commitment so far. With just a handful of exams remaining, they are now within touching distance of completing an important chapter of their education, and we urge them to maintain the excellent focus and effort they have shown throughout.

The table below outlines the subjects that still have examinations scheduled from 11th June onwards. Students preparing for these examinations are expected to attend the indicated lessons and any additional revision sessions. Registration marks will continue to be recorded, and we are aiming for 100% attendance so that every student can benefit from the support available.

The reason for these arrangements is simple: we want every student to have the very best opportunity to succeed. Many students have left examinations feeling confident, not only because of the effort they have invested at home, but also because they have continued to benefit from the guidance, expertise, and encouragement of their subject specialist teachers. These final lessons and revision sessions could make a significant difference, and we strongly encourage students to take full advantage of them.

We are immensely proud of what this year group has already achieved and look forward to seeing them finish this exam season with the same determination, positivity, and ambition they have shown throughout.

With just two weeks to go it is crucial that students continue to work hard for every exam. On that note, please see below the links to each subject’s google drive folder and Night Before News exam guidance videos – these are essential viewing for the remaining papers. There will also be a letter regarding our Year 11 clearance procedures and celebrations going out shortly.
