This week, 15 Year 7 and Year 8 girls visited the home of Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. at the Amex Stadium as part of a BHAFC Foundation Open Doors Career Event. The trip gave students a fantastic opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available within professional football and learn more about the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

Throughout the day, students took part in employability and transferable skills workshops, careers insight sessions and a variety of fun interactive activities linked to the football industry. They explored areas such as teamwork, communication, leadership and problem solving, while also learning about the many different roles that exist behind the scenes at a Premier League club.

A highlight of the day was the behind the scenes stadium tour. Students were able to visit areas normally closed to the public, including the dressing rooms, before experiencing the excitement of running out pitchside to the sounds of Sussex by the Sea.

The students represented the school brilliantly throughout and were a credit to the school.
