Over the Easter holidays, 45 Year 10 and 11 students embarked on an unforgettable cultural enrichment trip to Paris. Travelling by coach, the group arrived in the French capital ready to begin their adventure, enjoying a delicious steakhouse dinner before heading to a surprise overnight stay at the enchanted Grand Magic Hotel at Disneyland.
The following day, students immersed themselves in the beauty and culture of Paris. A highlight was visiting the Musée d’Orsay, where they admired an impressive collection of art work housed within a stunning former railway station. From there, they enjoyed a scenic walk along the River Seine, making their way to the gardens of the Eiffel Tower. Students relaxed with lunch, and some even ventured up to the first viewing platform to take in spectacular views of the city. Others embraced the local cuisine, sampling traditional delicacies—including the famously adventurous choice of snails!
The afternoon continued with a peaceful cruise along the Seine, offering a unique perspective of Paris’s most iconic landmarks, followed by a guided drive through the city. In the evening, the group travelled to Montmartre, where they dined in a charming French restaurant accompanied by live music. A visit to the nearby market rounded off the night, with many students picking up classic Parisian souvenirs—especially berets.
On the final day, excitement reached its peak with a full 13 hours spent at Disneyland Paris. Students made the most of their time exploring both parks, enjoying the rides and attractions, and creating lasting memories with friends.
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience French culture first hand, and it will undoubtedly remain a highlight of the school year.
