Forty-four year 9 students had a superb week in the Austrian mountains on the DHS school ski trip. They enjoyed fun packed days of skiing, along with various evening entertainment including bowling, sledging and karaoke, which led to a week that has hopefully given them memories that will last a lifetime!
‘The ski trip was great; I went from not being able to ski to going down red (2nd hardest) slopes at the end. We did fun slopes that had ups and downs, plus jumps. We also had evening entertainment like bowling and karaoke and it was an amazing trip.’ Ethan
‘The ski trip was definitely the best trip I’ve been on. I didn’t know anyone going but I made friends really quickly as everyone was really nice. Even though the journey was around 20 hours, it was completely worth it. I’ve never been skiing in my life but this helped me learn the skills so I can go again if I want to. I hopefully will. I’ve made so many memories that I’ll never forget. You even get to stop at McDonalds for breakfast so I think you should definitely think about signing up for the next trip! Poppy
‘The ski trip was an experience I definitely won’t forget; it was such an amazing experience and allowed me to build new friendships and help existing ones grow stronger. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed certain parts, the coach ride shocked me the most, but I’d say the karaoke was a main highlight. I would definitely recommend to younger years; it is comedy gold and you can throw snowballs at the teachers! What’s not to like.’ Lucy
‘I thought the ski trip was a great experience and very enjoyable. There were evening games and activities such as bowling, a quiz night and more, and during the day we had a long time to ski. I would really recommend it.’ Jem
‘It was fun being in a different country and I made lots of new friends.’ Eve
‘The ski trip was a great experience and very enjoyable, the evening games were fun and you get to experience skiing maybe for the first time. I highly recommend the ski trip as you are guaranteed to have an amazing week skiing and socialising with your friends.’ Finn
