Dear Year 11 Leaver
It gives me great pleasure to be able to invite you to Durrington High School on Thursday 23rd November to collect your GCSE certificates and celebrate the successes of our ex-students. The event will be held in the main hall and will run from 5:30pm – 6:30pm.
The event will include a light finger buffet and aims to give you an opportunity to engage in conversation around your transition to college. The senior leadership team, curriculum and company teams, form tutors and other members of the staff body will be there.
Please note that access to the school site will only be via the main school entrance, and not by Rodmell Road entrance.
We would like to emphasise that the celebration will last approximately an hour and all the students are welcome to stay and enjoy the buffet. The evening is by invitation only. It is, therefore, essential that you complete the attached Google form here to confirm your attendance. All replies must be returned by Monday 13th November so the buffet can be organised.
We hope you will be able to join us in this final celebration of your achievements and your time at Durrington High School.
If you are unable to join us on the evening, please note that certificates are not posted to you but can be collected in person from reception from 8am – 3.30pm after 27th November (they can only be collected by friends or relatives with written permission). Please be aware that if you intend to go to university or attend higher education in the future then you will need these certificates as proof of achievement.
