Good afternoon all
As per the recent newsletter we will be holding our first year 7 parent/carer event of the year on Thursday 28th September.
The evening will start at 5pm and last approximately an hour, with refreshments provided. We aim to go through the following information in the hope that this will support both yourself and your child throughout this important year at Durrington:
- The Durrington journey and what this means for your child
- KAPP
- Homework
- A short presentation on metacognition and why this is important for your child’s learning.
Please be aware that there will not be an opportunity to discuss individual students during the evening, this will take place on the tutor evening on the 9th November. As ever if you do have any concerns please do contact your child’s form teacher, the year 7 leadership team or the specific class teacher.

Additionally, during the day students in year 7 are all invited for a free meal at lunchtime in the Pavilion, please see the menu attached. It would be great to see as many of the year group taking advantage of the free lunch offer on this day. If you have any queries please do contact us.
