Student admissions

Durrington High School is a popular and oversubscribed school.  We operate our own in-year admissions process which includes the management of our own waiting lists.   The in-year admissions operates for all students (years 7-11) who wish to join the school at any point after the commencement of the school year.  Admissions at the stage of school transfer continue to be coordinated through West Sussex County Council.

Should you wish to apply for a place at Durrington please complete and return the application form herePlease ensure this is completed in full and sent or emailed back (admissions@durring.com) as soon as possible. We will then be in contact to discuss next steps. Should you have any specific questions please contact Mr Fuller (Deputy Headteacher) who leads on admissions jfuller@durring.com

The admissions authority of Durrington High School will use the information provided on the application form, submitted by applicants to determine if a referral needs to be put forward to the Fair Access Protocol. Criteria used to determine these referrals will all be considered on an individual basis using information found in appendix 1 of the new admissions policy. The admission request will be re-directed to WSCC for consideration through the appropriate panel process.

Please be aware that requests for admissions can only be addressed during term time. Our admissions policy gives further details on the oversubscription criteria and how requests are responded to and/places are allocated. It can be found here.

Should you have any questions please contact the school via the admissions email address or on 01903 244957.
