Medication in school

Please note that parents / carers are responsible for keeping medicines up-to-date (prescribed and non-prescribed), by notifying the school of any changes. This includes Paracetamol consent / opting out and renewal of out-of-date medication. Please also be advised that it is the responsibility of the parent / carer to return this medication to the dispensing pharmacy. As advised by Public Health England, there will be three vaccination programmes held in school during the academic year. Full details of these vaccinations and consent forms will be sent to Parent/Carers concerned in due course.

Immunisations for young people leaflet

All Year 9 students will be offered the ‘Teenage Booster and Meningitis ACWY’ vaccination, which will eliminate the need to have this in Year 10.  This will take place on Monday 5th February 2018.

Teenage Booster Catch Up Clinic Dates 2018

Year 8 Girls will be offered the HPV vaccination over two sessions, with the first session taking place on Monday 23rd April 2018 and the second session in the following academic year (date to be arranged). Further information will be sent to parents and carers nearer the time.

Year 9 Girls will be offered their second session of the HPV vaccination on Monday 23rd April 2018. Further information will be sent to parents and carers nearer the time.

Measles outbreak

We have been informed by Public Health England about a recent rise in Measles in our local area and have been asked to urgently raise awareness of the Measles and MMR vaccination.
