Durrington students celebrate excellent GCSE results and look towards a bright future

The sun shone on Durrington students today as they received their excellent GCSE results from proud staff at the school. Amidst an unprecedented and uncertain picture nationally, the students’ grades bear testament to their hard work and passion for learning which has been fostered by strong relationships and great teaching from Durrington’s staff over the past five years. There was a strong sense of immense pride throughout the morning as students and staff reflected on their happy years at Durrington, culminating in their well-deserved results awarded today. This exceptional year group has exemplified the core Durrington values of kindness, aspiration, perseverance and pride in both their studies and their wider contribution to our school and community. Staff at Durrington have been hugely rewarded by seeing a large number of them ‘go beyond their best’ during their time at the school. Specific congratulations must be given to these 10 Durrington students who have embodied the school’s values and achieved exceptional results; being awarded the top grade, a 9, in all eight or nine of their subjects.

It fills us with great pride. “We look forward to hearing about all their future endeavours and successes, and wish them all the very best as they move on to the next chapter on their journey.”
