Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly I would like to take the opportunity to say what a wonderful start year 11 have made to their final GCSE year. As we are approaching the lead up to year 11 mock exams starting in December, I would like to share with you our master class schedule officially starting after half-term. The aim of the master classes is to provide students with extra time with subject specialists, practise exam questions and build their confidence before their exams.
Please find below:
- Our master class schedule for morning, lunch and after school sessions. This has been shared with students this week and they have planned which sessions they will attend. N/B: some sessions will be invitation only.
- The list of revision resources you can purchase for each subject.
- A revision checklist which informs students of where to access revision materials for each subject. This has also been shared with students
- A copy of the mock exam timetable, which students have also been given.
- Parental support videos
Students have also been using the period 1 time twice a week to make revision materials in core subjects and practise testing each other. We have been delighted to see how positively students have taken to this and how useful it has been for them.
Please remember that on Wednesday 3rd November we also have a mock support evening for students, parents/carers. During the evening we will go through the process of mock examinations, the support available within school and how parents / carers can support students at home. Please confirm your attendance if you have not already done so using the link.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
