Durrington High School

Going beyond our best

DHS wow at Worthing Sings Live

We were delighted to be involved with Worthing Sings Live on Wednesday evening,  an event organised by West Sussex Music  which took place in the beautiful Assembly Rooms, Worthing. We took part in the massed choir, alongside other local schools, singing a selection of songs and the DHS choir performed Stormzy’s I’m Blinded by your Grace and a medley of songs from The Greatest Showman. Faith Onwuzuruike then performed a wonderful solo of Labrinth’s Jealous which gave the audience Goosebumps! We are extremely proud of the musical talent of our students and their dedication to developing that talent with hard work and determination. Many thanks to Mrs Isham, Miss Maughan and Mr Dean for aiding the students to be part of such a great event and giving them another opportunity to showcase their talents.

You can view videos of the performances below (for photographic permission reasons, the choir videos are audio only with stills of the choir):

  • Durrington High School has made me become more confident in myself by encouraging me to just go for it! The extra-curricular activities have offered me good opportunities to work with new people and meet new friends, resulting in me feeling safe and content at school.
