Durrington High School

Going beyond our best

Christmas jumper day Friday 15 December

Dear Parent / Carer

We are delighted to let you know that we will be holding a MUFTI day on Friday 15 December 2017. We will be raising money for the Save the Children Christmas Jumper appeal which supports children in poverty across the world. On the day each student will have the choice of wearing a Christmas jumper or, if they prefer, appropriate mufti clothing. As normal on these days there should be no dyed hair or fancy dress (beyond the option of Christmas Jumpers). Students and staff choosing to wear non-school uniform are asked to make a donation of £1. Those students who have timetabled PE lessons on this day are required to bring in their normal PE kit which they will be expected to wear during their lesson as usual.

As well as our Christmas jumper day we are also carrying on the Durrington tradition of form classes making Christmas hampers. This year the charities we are supporting (WCHP and Worthing Foodbank) work with those in our community who are most needy providing essential items such as toiletries and basic foods items. If you are able to make a donation (via your son/daughter) this would be very much appreciated.

We are one team, one school and one community and together we want to make a real difference to others this Christmas.

Yours sincerely
